In the beginning, the idea is that historical space can easily know its purpose from the form. For contemporary space, the form cannot define its content. However, many contemporary sites are changed from historical forms

2.2 ISOLATION EXPERIMENT

Using Melbourne as the medium, this experiment is making collages that isolate the historical site from its area. The purpose is to find the connection between the old space and its surroundings.

Historical buildings will not exist in isolation in the city. These historical buildings are well connected with the contemporary buildings next to them. So how to integrate contemporary space and materials into historical interior space is what I want to explore.
